+#Copenhagen City Walks
Choose from a selection for city tours showing the charms of Copenhagen. The tours can be modified to meet your requirements. The duration of the tours are ca. 2,5 hours.
I can make a 5 hour tour joining the routes, making time for lunch or dinner.
-###City of Towers
+##City of Towers
Enter the city from the busy Town Hall Square, next to the Tivoli Garden. The tour passes by the busy shopping street of strøget, and through cobbled alleyes and old squares of the city. We pass the imposing Court House, visit Our Ladies Cathedral with it’s famous Christ and Apostle group.
From here we delve into the Latin Quarter through Greyfriars Square to reach Christian IV fabulous Round Tower observatory - and maybe scale the tower for a great view. We rejoin Strøget at it’s most exclusive, before ending at Castle Island, centre of the old Copenhagen featuring monuments as Christiansborg Palace, the Stock Exchange and the Black Diamond by the harbor. Cross to the canal district og Christianshavn, or opt for lunch in Nyhavn.
The tour is two hours plus. I can alternatively start at Nyhavn, King’s New Square or points in between.
-###Royal Copenhagen
+##Royal Copenhagen
A three hour walk, exploring the city of Kings and merchants. We start out from the Old Strand area, site of the Viking time harbor. Cross over to Castle Island with it’s medeival history, and see the Christiansborg Palace and the exquisite Old Stock Exchange building dating from 1622.
From here we enter the small side streets, and pass the King’s New Square with the Royal Theatre and the Nyhavn with it’s canalside houses dating back 300 years. The tours then enters the Palace District of Frederiksstaden with the Royal Residence of Amalienborg at it’s heart, and next to it the majestic Marble Church. Now we continue along the harborside to the Langelinie and the Cruise Port - or walk across to the delightful 17 century Rosenborg Castle and view the Crown Jewels. To visit the castle calculate one hour extra guiding, plus entry fee.
The tour can start from the Cruise Port, King’s New Square, Gammel Strand or other points along the way.
